NJC Printing wanted to take some time to learn a little more about our customers and share with you more about the services and opportunities these awesome businesses and organizations provide.
NJC: What does CFMA do?
AB: Children’s Foundation of Mid-America provides care for troubled teens and their families through a myriad of programs throughout Missouri. We have residential treatment homes in Springfield, Columbia, Moberly, Farmington and here in St. Louis. We provide counseling, mentoring and other community based services in those locations as well. In Springfield, Joplin, Columbia and St. Louis, we provide foster care case management. And, lastly, here in St. Louis we provide intensive in-home treatment for children and families in St. Louis County. Last year we provided care to over 1600 kids.
NJC: What is your position at CFMA?
AB: I am Vice President of Community Relations.
NJC: What would you say is the most challenging part of your job?
AB: Probably the most challenging part of my job is keeping all the balls in the air. As is the case in most non-profits, our staff is often stretched to the limit, performing many tasks. In any given day, I will write grants, work with donors, write public relation pieces, and work with vendors on marketing pieces, and more.
NJC: When looking for a vendors for your company, what are some of the things you look for?
AB: I expect vendors to deliver what they promise. I like friendly, but professional people to work with. I like promptness, thoroughness, and the ability to make me look good to my bosses and our donors. NJC does that just great.
NJC: How can people help CFMA?
AB: Help CFMA? Send money! Actually, they can visit our website at www.care4kids.org and learn more about us, and then do as their hearts are led.
