The St. Louis Heart Ball is the American Heart Association’s annual black-tie gala benefiting its mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

Our evening celebrates: our work and mission; our donors and volunteers; and — most importantly — the lives saved and improved because of everyone’s effort.

The goal of the Heart Ball is to encourage attendees to create a culture of physical activity and live longer, healthier lives all while raising critical research dollars.

These funds will benefit St. Louis through research grants, education and activity-based programs.

From 2007-2011 the American Heart Association has funded 149 new studies at eight Missouri research institutions at a cost of more than $20 million.  Local research includes St. Louis University, University of Missouri-St. Louis, Washington University and Washington University School of Medicine.
